Connectivity Tips

All training sessions are recorded for future reference. Please follow the guidance below to ensure quality recordings.

Internet

  • If possible, use a wired network connection rather than Wi-Fi for reliability.
  • Being logged into a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is not needed to present a session. A VPN adds additional overhead to your connection which can decrease and may affect video/sound quality.

Audio Connection

  • Sessions are being recorded. To ensure the best audio possible we recommend using a phone with a headset or earbuds to dial into the webinar.
  • Using a built-in microphone on a computer can result in poor sound quality on the recording. If you must use computer audio, connect an external microphone/headset.

Video or Assistive Technology Demonstrations

  • If you plan to have a screen reader demonstration as part of your presentation, you will need to play the sound over your speakers as attendees will not be able to hear sound from your headset.
  • If you are planning to share a video, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can demonstrate and test out the best way to share the video so that everyone will be able to see and hear it.
  • Note: All videos shared need to be captioned or be accompanied by a transcript to meet accessibility requirements.

Webinar Settings to Note

  • Practice Session Enabled: The webinars will be in practice session mode when you initially log in. We have enabled the practice session to allow time for testing and troubleshooting audio/video connections before starting the webinar.
  • Waiting Room Enabled: Attendees will be placed into a waiting room and will not be allowed to enter the webinar until the facilitator selects the “Start Webinar” button.
    • Note: All attendees will be muted by default when joining the webinar.
  • Webinar Recording Enabled: SAI webinars settings have been set to start automatically recording when facilitator selects the “Start Webinar” button.
